Wear Red Fridays
At Active, we proudly embrace the red! Supporting heart health awareness by showcasing our #LiveActively red was an easy choice. But no matter your brand colors, you can rally your staff and members to wear red every Friday in February to show their support and build community spirit. This initiative is a great way to build community spirit and create buzz on social media. Staff can trade their uniforms for red-branded swag, while clubs create a fun, shareable experience with group photos and a festive backdrop and throw in some fun props for the perfect selfie. A well-placed photo op ensures members will be excited to share their support on social media, boosting engagement and visibility. Encourage members to post their red outfits, tagging your club location for a chance to win prizes, and using a hashtag such as #LiveActively or #GoRedFridays to spread awareness and engagement.

National Wear Red Day & Go Red for Women
On February 7th, Active Wellness Centers went all out for National Wear Red Day to raise awareness for women’s heart health! Members and staff rocked their red, got their blood pressure checked, learned hands-on CPR, and participated in special raffles and activities in our centers. Be sure to mark your calendars for next year—National Wear Red Day is on February 6, 2026! Start planning now to engage your members, build awareness, and strengthen your fitness community around this important cause.

Match Made in the ZONE Heart Rate Training Event
Our branded small group heart-rate training program presents Match Made in the ZONE, designed to make this heart-pounding month even more exciting! This special event encourages members to bring a friend to class, push their limits together, and get entered into a raffle to win a free month of The ZONE. Not only is this a great way to introduce more people to heart-rate training, but it also reinforces the benefits of teamwork, endurance, and functional strength. Plus, ZONE members typically stay an extra two years, making it a powerful long-term investment in health and community. Learn more about The ZONE and how you can bring this branded program to your community here.
Share the Love Free Guest Week
Nothing says heart health like working out with a friend! Studies show that people who exercise with a partner are 45% more likely to stick with their fitness routine compared to those who go it alone. Offer a “Share the Love” free guest week, allowing members to bring a guest for free. This is a prime opportunity for lead generation and potential membership conversions while promoting the benefits of exercise for heart health.
Partner with a Local Blood Drive
Give back to the community by hosting a blood drive at your club! Partnering with a local organization allows you to welcome new faces into your club while supporting a life-saving cause. Offer guest passes to donors as a thank-you for their contribution and a chance to experience your facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your club while promoting heart health.

American Heart Association Donation Drive
Encourage members to bring a friend all month long in support of heart health! With a full schedule of heart-focused events, members and guests can participate while supporting the American Heart Association. Active Wellness Center will be collecting donations throughout February—every contribution helps make a difference. This initiative not only strengthens community ties but also serves as a great referral opportunity.

Valentine-Themed Group Classes
Keep the energy high with heart-pumping, Valentine-themed classes! Whether it’s a partner yoga session, a “Heart Beats” cycling class, or a special high-energy cardio workout, themed classes add a fun and festive touch to February’s programming.
Group Classes to Love Bingo Challenge
Boost group class attendance with a Group Fitness Bingo Challenge! Members receive a Bingo card and get a square checked off for every class they take. Those who complete a Bingo by trying different classes can turn in their card at the service desk to enter a raffle for a branded swag bag. This is a fun way to drive participation and expose members to new workouts!
These heart-focused events bring communities together, boost engagement, and attract new leads—all while creating a fun and meaningful way to support a great cause. Implementing these activities at your fitness center will help strengthen relationships with your members while reinforcing the importance of heart health. Let’s make February a month full of energy, awareness, and connection!
