The Health & Fitness Association (HFA) Show 2025, held from March 11–14 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, brought together nearly 10,000 attendees, 363 exhibitors, 50 sponsors, and 215 speakers from around the globe.
Team Active Wellness was proud to attend The HFA Show 2025! Chief Operating Officer Michele Wong, Co-Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer Bill McBride, and Vice President of Design and Development Justin Honas were in attendance at the show, networking, connecting, and exploring innovative new products and solutions for our organization.
Some of our key takeaways included:
- Advocacy and Industry Unity: HFA President and CEO Liz Clark, alongside Anytime Fitness co-founder Chuck Runyon, emphasized the importance of collective advocacy efforts to elevate the fitness industry’s role in public health.
- Artificial Intelligence in Fitness:
Shama Hyder, founder of Zen Media, delivered a compelling keynote on using AI in fitness marketing, highlighting its growing role in member engagement, personalization, and operational efficiency. Staying competitive now means understanding how AI can amplify, not replace, authentic human connection. - Innovation on the Trade Show Floor:
This year’s trade show showcased the energy and evolution of our industry. Plate-loaded equipment made a strong comeback, drawing crowds with its appeal to strength-focused training and performance. At the same time, glute-centric equipment continued to dominate, reflecting consumer demand for targeted, functional training experiences.
Wellness and Recovery Front and Center:
The rise of wellness and recovery solutions was hard to miss, with an especially noticeable emphasis on cold therapy technologies, including cryotherapy beds and contrast tubs. These tools are becoming staples in fitness center design and align perfectly with Active’s commitment to holistic health.
- Diverse Educational Tracks and Networking: The conference offered eight educational tracks covering topics from consumer engagement to leadership development. Networking events included early morning workouts, a pickleball tournament, and the Women’s Leadership Summit.
- Memorable Keynotes and Appearances: Alex Rodriguez shared insights on resilience and leadership, discussing his journey and the importance of learning from failures.
We’re feeling inspired and energized about the future of the health and fitness industry—and we’re excited to share what we learned with our teams and communities!
